PROTOCOLS FOR ENTRY INTO THE BAHAMAS
CHARTER AND SCHEDULED CARRIERS AND OPERATORS OF PRIVATE AIRCRAFT CAN CONTINUE OPERATIONS
UNDER THE NEW BAHAMAS TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS EXCEPT TO GRAND BAHAMA
Effective: July 30th, 2020
The Government of The Bahamas wishes to confirm that the new restrictions regarding international travel between the Bahamas and the United States allows for the continued operation of US and Bahamian charter, private and schedule carriers departing from sanitized FBOs and other airports except for service to and from Grand Bahama. This provides a means for US originating travelers to continue their trips to most of the Bahamas, for many Bahamas citizens and residents to travel to the US, for the travel of international students and for the repatriation of citizens. The cessation of all services to Grand Bahama become effective on Thursday, 23rd July at 6:00pm.
The Government also made it clear that although the described services can continue, the following requirements remain in effect:
-
All travelers over the age of (10), including Bahamian citizens returning to the Bahamas, must go to travel.gov.bs, identify an approved tester and provide evidence of a Negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 10 days of their date of departure for the Bahamas.
-
All travelers are required to upload the negative test results to obtain an electronic health visa by return email which they must present at the US airport before departure and on arrival in the Bahamas unless they have been precleared in the United States.
-
Face coverings are required for travel and in public places throughout in the Bahamas.
